Sustainable Energy-Efficient Energy Communities (SEEC); Interreg Aurora; 08/2025–
 

Arctic 6G; Interreg Aurora project (https://arctic6g.eu/); 12/2022–12/2025

• Research relating to creating understanding of connectivity needs for 6G in Artic area, i.e. rural and remote areas

• Planned and conducted surveys and interviews to identify connectivity challenges and needs in rural areas.

• Collected, analyzed, and disseminated data through webinar materials, a Lapland UAS journal article, and a peer-reviewed publication (to be submitted) in collaboration with partner university representatives.

• Supervised a master’s thesis on themes related to the Arctic 6G project.
   

DIT4BEATRS; Kolarctic CBC, EU funded (https://dit4bears.org/); 01/2022–12/2022

• Purpose of the project was to enhance adaption and transfer of Disruptive Information Technologies for the societal and economic needs of the Barents Euro-Arctic Region.

• Planned and organized the “Connected Reindeer Hackathon,” including concept design, practical implementation, and reporting of results.

• Research relating to continuous planning in software development context and writing publications and PhD thesis about the topic. The research was done in close collaboration with large ICT companies involved in the project.

• Research relating to business, portfolio and product management and planning. Publishing the research results in International Journal of Agile Systems and Management (IJASM) titled: “Continuous planning through the three horizons of growth”

• Research relating to strategic planning and continuous strategy in software-intensive business. Achieving the best paper award in the 23rd Nordic Academy of Management Conference 08/2015 with the conference paper titled: “Towards Continuous Strategy in the Context of Software Intensive Business”

• Conducting wide systematic literature review/mapping study on continuous deployment. Publishing the research results in Journal of Systems and Software (JSS) titled: “Continuous Deployment of Software Intensive Products and Services: A Systematic Mapping Study”

• Conducting foresight workshops to the N4S program partner organisations. Acting as a facilitator in the workshops. Receiving excellent and positive feedback from the participants of the workshops.
